I am sure that most of you are aware of a site called Plenty of Fish. For those of you who don't know, it is a free dating website where you can meet singles in your area. I thought that I had hit the jackpot when I signed up for this site. I could browse profiles and pictures and talk to guys in my area and possibly find a respectable guy to go on a date with. I went on a few dates that are not worth mentioning, but the one I want to mention, the one who is responsible for this site, he takes the cake.
Chris sent me an email and this is what it said:
I read your profile and decided to email you. I am originally from NY. I am a college educated professional who lives and works in San Diego. I have had the pleasure of traveling the world extensively for both work and pleasure and LOVE to travel.
Here in San Diego I enjoy staying active working out or running along the waterfront or relaxing with my dog at the dog park. I have a tremendous passion for all things motorcycle and would love to be able to ride everyday with no destination in mind; just see where the road goes.
But back to reality. I just got on this site so I am trying to figure it out. Anyway, enough of my rambling, if you may be interested, feel free to message me back. I look forward to hearing from you.-Chris

Now Chris does not post pictures of himself on his profile. He sends them to you in this email. So, upon reading this email I thought "well he took the time to write me a nice little message, and he’s cute, so of course I will write him back.
After chatting back and forth through email Chris asks me for my number so that he can call me for a date. I gave him my number and he began to text me. Not long after that he called me on the phone, he told me he was a police officer and he sounded very intelligent and well spoken on the phone. We made plans to go on a date and the location was Nobu.
I show up for my date looking amazing. As I walk up to him, he is just what he looked like in his pictures. He was handsome, well dressed and smelled amazing. From the moment we sat down we were having amazing conversation. He made good eye contact, asked me questions about myself, and complimented me. Dinner was awesome so we decided to continue the date at a sky lounge close by. At the sky lounge we had cocktails and locked eyes with each other with little to no conversation. It was very intense, and not long after we were there we were making out. He was an amazing kisser, he was not aggressive, gentle, and was very passionate. We hung out at the sky lounge for two hours before I said I had to get home. He walked me downstairs and called me a cab. He gave me a kiss and said he would be calling me the next day to make arrangements to hang out again.
I sat in the cab full of excitement. I had just gone on the most amazing date and had the best time ever. He knew what to say, how to act, and was not forward. I could help but be excited to see him again.
The next day I finally heard from him in a text saying he was leaving for a trip later that day but wanted to get together for coffee before he left. He said he had to go into the station to do some paper work, but would call me when he was finished to meet up. I never heard from him.
I was curious to know why he had not called me back. The date was amazing, the chemistry was there. I thought he might have gotten caught up at work or was busy with his trip. I went back on my POF account to check my mail in case he tried to contact me through there. I had not received an email from him, but I did see that he was on POF at that very moment. I didn’t think too much into it and logged out. Later on that evening I logged on again to see if he had sent me anything, and again I found he was on the site. Now I don't give a shit if a guy is dating other girl besides me, it's the beginning stages and I understand there is no form of commitment at that point. But this guy was different. He told me how much he wanted a relationship, an asked me personal questions about my life. I opened up to him and shared things about my past. I began to feel taken advantage of.
After seeing him on the site several times throughout the day I wondered to myself if the whole date was a facade. Did he do this all the time, take women on dates and see if he could get laid? Did he tell all women what they wanted to hear and shower them with compliments and ask them personal questions just to seem genuinely interested? I had a bad feeling, I knew I had been lied to, I knew there was something not right. I decided to do a little investigating of my own. I created two profiles on POF for two different girls.
When I created these profiles I had no intention of contacting Chris. I wanted to put the fake profiles on the site, like bate and see what type of fish I caught. Well.....it did not even take 24 hours and Chris took the bait.....ON BOTH ACCOUNTS!
